Srinagar, June 03 (KNO): Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday paid tribute to Shah-e-Hamadan on his Urs and also extended greetings to Kashmiri Pandits on Mela Kheer Bhawani.
In a post on X, Mirwaiz, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said "on the urs of Hazrat Amir Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA), we honour the great saint, scholar and reformer to whom we are indebted forever. The man who transformed Kashmir-in faith, society, economy".
He said the light of Islam that he brought continues to illuminate "our land and beyond. Our deepest gratitude".
"Today also marks Mela Kheer Bhawani and we extend our best wishes to our Kashmiri Pandith brethren on this occasion," he said—(KNO)
